HFC Wednesday Religious Education Program

"To make Jesus Christ known and loved!" This is the goal of our HFC Wednesday Evening Religious Ed program for children in grades 1-8. The finest group of catechists help support parents in their task as primary educators of their children. Before each new year, our catechists come together to pray for their students and families. We make an act of consecration entrusting our year to Our Blessed Mother. We also join our Holy Family Academy teachers in making a public Oath of Fidelity, proclaiming that we will never teach or hand on anything to our students that is contrary to the teaching of the Church, always striving to live as good Catholics.

All of our teachers have gone through background checks and Archdiocese safety training. A detailed listing of curriculum we use in each grade for HFC Wednesday Religious Ed can be found on this site.

Our Wednesdays consist of large group Gathering Time from 6:30pm-7pm where we anchor ourselves in prayer with decade of the Rosary.

The Source and Summit of our Catholic Faith is Jesus, truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist. Each month we make a visit to Church for our Eucharistic Adoration Gathering Time. We adore Our Lord, thank Him for all our blessings and ask Him to take care of our families and needs. We ask Him to open our hearts to what He would have us learn about Him and the teachings of His Church during our class time each week from 7-8pm.

Our year together also includes Advent and Lent Sacrament of Confession nights, Ash Wednesday Mass, Stations of the Cross and Benediction Gathering Time, Respect for Life awareness and regular visits to the classrooms by Father Dufner. All students are welcome to HFC Wednesday! Public school students, home school students, your grandchildren... some have even brought their neighbors who are not Catholic to introduce them to the Catholic Faith. If your child is in a language immersion school, don’t let their homework load stop them from coming. We can work out a schedule.
